5. Some seniors need a lot of retouching some only a little. Standard retouching will correct blemish problems.  You always want your portraits retouched . By doing this it will give your portraits a nice finished look.  This is an investment that you will be displaying for many years to come, it needs to be done right. (Retouching does not include eye glass glare, blending in tan lines, or removing unwanted items from the portraits. Quotes will be available for this).

 

 6. Make sure that you understand how to dress and accessorize. Some studios will limit the number of clothing changes. Not at Acrees! Bring in as many as you like. Typically boys will bring in 2 to 3 changes and girls 4 to 5. Bring in more if you so desire. Every studio should spend the time on the phone discussing this with you and should have available information to send out pertaining too this. Again, this is very important to obtain the best Senior Portrait.

 

 7. We include an outdoor session at no additional charge. Our outdoor studio is spacious enough to handle anything from pets to

horses to cars. (We are animal lovers here)! Should it be rainy on the day of your session please come in for your indoor

portraits. We will reschedule the outdoor session. Usually the outdoor doesn’t take as much time as the indoor. 

 

  8. Here at Acrees, we understand that your time is very valuable and that everyone in the family are going in all different directions. If this should be the case for you, we can display your images on our web site so that everyone can choose their favorites when the time is right for them or even if they are out of town.. You can even place your order online! (Images are available to view online for a period of two weeks at that time your order is due also).

 

 9. All  photographers should have a 100% guarantee on their products and services. Ask if they have a guarantee, most won’t know what to say. At Acrees we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you are not happy with your portrait session thru something that is our fault we will do additional portraits or refund your session fee, your choice. If you are not pleased with your final portrait order when you pick it up we will redo, or replace your investment, again your choice.

 

10. Lastly, this really is an investment. You will be displaying your portraits in your home or office for many years to come. Many times portraits are also given as gifts. You only want to give the best you can, so invest wisely.

Text Box:   Hi!   This letter is to all seniors and parents. You will soon, if not already, get bombarded with senior photography mailings. Every studio wants you to choose them for your senior portraits. Most studios will do a fine job. This letter is only to clear up a few misconceptions, guide you and of course explain the virtues of our studio.   1.You may go anywhere for your senior pictures. There are a select few schools that require you to go to the school photographer in order to be placed in the yearbook. Remember this is for the yearbook only. You may select another photographer for the portraits you choose to display in your home and give as gifts. School photographers don’t have outdoor areas,  multiple clothing change options and most all the time that is needed to capture great images.    2. Most photographers require a deposit for the session or creation fee. This does a few things for you. Deposits hold the date and time for you much like a reservation and block the correct amount of time needed to do the session.  It is also the photographers charge for doing the photography. Senior portraits are usually taken the summer before your senior year. Many times early in the summer session fees are waved to entice you into the studio early. The studio encourages seniors  in early to avoid the crunch of the yearbook deadlines. Most yearbooks are due in September or October. ( Check with your school)  Studios have heavy schedules in late July and August.   Most people forget or don't realize that many band, football, soccer and tennis camps start early to mid August and reduces availability.   3. Many studios offer a package deal. A certain amount of prints for x dollars. We have been in business for over 15 years and have a system we and past clients prefer.   For example, packages will be set up with 1 pose only or 3 poses only. Not so in our case. All of our prices include standard retouching and please choose as many poses that you would like at no additional cost!!!!   4. Don’t be enticed by low ball package deals. They usually are not what you need or are missing a few key items.  Things like retouching which most of us need.  They may not include Yearbook prints (these are the prints you submit to the yearbook editor to be included in the yearbook). We include a free Yearbook print with any order over $100. Lastly, they will exclude items such as wallets in their packages, which every senior needs many of.    5.
